Select Screenings
Below is a listing of select screenings that our team is aware of. If you have a new one, please let us know! Contact us with your event details at team(at)beyondcrisisfilm.ca
Hosting a screening is easy - simply organize a time and place that can work for others you'd like to invite to watch with you, ask some friends if they'd like to join (or help organize), test the audio-visual equipment in advance, and then host the screening! You can stream the film during your event directly from the watch page here or Vimeo Channel here. We also recommend identifying "opportunities for action" to suggest and encourage people towards following watching the screening, that may be most relevant to your specific community (e.g., promote good things happening on climate locally or beyond, and encourage more support and volunteers!).
For example: You can decide to host panel discussions and/or an audience Q&A period following the film... Support 'tabling' and presentations by local groups and organizations doing inspiring work... Host climate art workshops... Sing "songs for change" together... Share petitions and write group letters for climate action... Call your elected officials (and invite them to the screening)... Brainstorm organizational approaches to change... Make your own "change videos"... and many more possibilities! We encourage thinking strategically to increase the film's impact, and also getting bold and creative. Send us the different ways in which your group decided to respond to the film by emailing: team(at)beyondcrisisfilm.ca
